To clean and disinfect the fridge, first you have to remove all the food from it and completely thaw it. Then prepare a solution made from equal parts of water and vinegar, and rub each side of the fridge with this solution. Use a clean cloth to wipe it, without rinsing!
With the same vinegar solution you can clean the fridge on the outside, and then wipe it with paper towels.
The above homemade solution is enough to clean and disinfect the fridge, but if the unpleasant smell persists, you can try the following tricks:
– Cut a lemon in half and put both halves in the fridge, because lemon neutralizes the smell.
– Another option is to put baking soda in a small bowl and introduce it in the refrigerator. Baking soda has the ability to absorb all unpleasant smells, and the fridge smell makes no exception.
