How To Clean A Burnt Iron Soleplate With Vinegar And Salt

The iron can become a real headache if we don’t know how to clean it after every use. Certainly, it happened at least once to stain your clothes while you were ironing them, because the iron sole was dirty. Don’t do this anymore, because the following remedies are very handy, and you can clean the iron sole very easily.

If the iron sole is burnt badly, clean it with vinegar. Heat some vinegar and wipe the iron sole with a cloth soaked in vinegar. Rub it gently until the burn residues disappear. In case if the burnt doesn’t disappear, then add in the vinegar 2 tablespoons of baking soda with salt. Stir the mixture well until the baking soda and salt dissolves. Soak a cloth in this solution and rub the iron sole until the burnt disappears.

Put a few tablespoons of salt on a cloth. Heat the iron then rub the iron sole back and forth until you get rid of burns. Turn off the iron and wait for it to cool, then wipe it with a damp cloth.
