Having a glass stovetop in your kitchen requires extra care. And I am not talking only when it comes to cooking. Due to the fine material, the glass stove top is actually pretty picky on what you are using for cleaning. Accidents are always happening in the kitchen but the hardest thing to clean I find to be the grease. There is a constant grease on the glass stovetop that I can’t seem to get rid of it completely. I need a strong degreaser that will cut through it and make it clean again. I made a simple homemade degreaser using only natural ingredients I know will never damage the fine surface. Keep reading and check out the recipe!
Also, don’t forget, it is easier to keep it like new if you clean the glass stovetop every other day after cooking. A few tips before going full duty with the cleaning are to allow it to cool down and then wipe off the excess debris. It will make it easier to apply the solution and to effectively act on the grease.
The ingredients you will need are:
– a cup of very warm water
– a ¼ cup liquid soap
– a tablespoon of lemon juice
– ½ cup of baking soda.
All you have to do is mix these ingredients together. Then, using a rag, soak it into the solution and the place it all over your glass stovetop. Make sure you insist more on stained and greasy areas. Let the mixture do its magic for an hour and then simply wipe the grease away. You can clean everything of with a dry microfiber cloth.
